Bob, As I mentioned, some of Neil Y's music off "Harvest" album might work for your band. Has pedal steel guitar on many of the works, nothing too elaborate with different of instruments, just a few of guitars [including acoustic], the pedal steel, and a drums. Though several songs have back-up singers [and several famous singers too]...but the songs I mentioned to you either do not, or I think the arrangement could be adjusted and not hurt the quality of the final product. Well thats my initial suggestion, from a "rock" based perspective, vice traditional C&W, which if I understand correctly, is the synthesis of what your band is looking to play. Now if you ever add a violin, banjo and mandolin you can grow into Bluegrass and western/rock fusion music! rick c.
